Transfer from the airport to Sanxenxo, one of the most popular towns in Galicia located in the Rias Baixas.
Accommodation will be at the hotel Carlos I **** located on the beach where we will enjoy a welcome dinner with a Welcome pack.
1st stage THE WAY OF ST. JAMES
Visit to the city of Pontevedra also known as the City of Bridges.
We will stroll through the historic center, visiting the different monuments of a city that combines history, culture and a friendly atmosphere.
Afterwards we will start our way from the Pilgrim's Square to Combarro by car, we will visit this peculiar fishing port where we will enjoy a meal in a very special place.
In the afternoon walk up to the monastery of Armenteira, a building steeped in history since 1162.
Visit the monastery and return to the hotel.
2nd stage THE WAY OF ST. JAMES
We start a route from the amazing Monastery of Santa Maria de Armenteira. The route runs along the river, where the most characteristic of this magical path are the mills and the stone that give name to the route. As soon as you enter it, you begin to enjoy the more than 30 mills that are distributed along its paths.
Lunch in Ribadumia. In the afternoon we will enjoy a visit to an Albariño tipical wine cellar in Galicia. Then we head to the town hall of Barro to play Pickleball, 3 hours of instruction.
3rd stage THE WAY OF ST. JAMES
We leave by boat sailing along the Arousa estuary and up the Ulla river. On the way we can see the only fluvial maritime Way of the Cross in the world, a collection of 17 crosses that mark the route of the Apostle to Padrón.
Arriving at Padrón we will get into the vehicles that will take us to the Escravitude sanctuary. From there we resume the road in its last stage. After it, the valleys of Padrón and magnificent views of the lands of Amaía. We descend to A Angueira de Suso to reach the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.
We arrive at the Plaza del Obradoiro where there are several historic buildings in addition to the imposing cathedral of Santiago where we can enter to visit and give the famous embrace to the apostle. We will also visit the Portico de la Gloria and the surrounding squares, if possible we will go up to the roofs of the cathedral and visit the historic center.
Visit of the first pickleball courts in Galicia at the Sagrado Corazón de Placeres School.
Visit to the school which is more than 100 years old.
Then 3 hours of pickleball with instruction.
Free afternoon to visit the town of Sanxenxo to enjoy its promenade, the beach, have an ice cream or relax in the wonderful spa of the hotel.
Trip to A Coruña, we will start at the Obelisco square walking through the old town leading to the majestic Plaza de María Pita, where you can see the majestic Casa Consistorial. We will leave the old area behind to see the gardens of the Real Maestranza and head towards the castle of San Antón. From there we go down to the promenade towards the Tower of Hercules. It is a route of great beauty, which offers panoramic views of the Atlantic coast. We will stop at the only Roman lighthouse in the world in operation and we can climb to the top.
Then we will go to the most characteristic beaches of the city, Orzán and Riazor, where we will have lunch.
In the afternoon we will go to the MEGA: The Estrella Galicia museum, the only one in Spain, which is made in A Coruña.
To finish we will have a Pickleball day.
Baiona-Oia-A Guardia-Portugal
In the morning we will go to Baiona, a fishing and tourist town with a very interesting historical and cultural heritage.
We will start by the streets of the old town and arrive at the port where the replica of the Caravela Pinta, the ship that crossed the Atlantic by Christopher Columbus in 1492. From there we will go to the fortress of Monterreal, heritage reference of the town, located on a small peninsula, being a walled enclosure since the second century.
Leaving Baiona we will stop at Cape Sieiro where we will see the military batteries and a lighthouse that bears his name.
From Cape Sieiro we head to the monastery of St. Mary of Oia, in a unique location, integrated into the coastal landscape, declared a National Monument.
From here we head to La Guardia where we will have lunch. In the afternoon we will go to Mount Sta Tecla, one of the most spectacular landscapes in Spain. There we will be able to observe petroglyphs and Celtic forts of more than 2000 years old.
Finally we will go to Valença (Portugal) where we can go to the fortress, where we can go shopping and take some souvenirs.
In the morning we will visit the most important beaches of the Rias Baixas. La Lanzada and San Vicente where we will walk along the route of Pedras Negras. We will return for a seafood lunch overlooking the beach of La Lanzada.
In the afternoon we will go to Meis to practice 3 hours of Pickleball with instruction.
To finish the day we will have a dinner accompanied by a Galician queimada, where we will eliminate evil spirits through fire. We will do it in a typical Galician rural house as a final party of the trip.
In the morning we will head to Vigo and pass through the city center to see the most important sculptures. We will follow the road to the airport to return to the country of origin with great memories, experiences and impregnated with the culture of Galicia.
